Bi pod let down

I recently purchased this bi-pod on GB to replace my post war Yugo. My bid was much higher than the price I paid as no one bid against me. I knew from the photos it was missing the clip for the retaining pin for the bi pod legs and one hole in the legs was damaged. (I did receive exactly what was in...

Re: Urgent help this MG42 butt ok ? Original ?

They did make wood stocks without the wire or metal sleeve. What I would look for is other WaA markings on the metal parts. Since the wood is marked, the metal parts should be marked. My experience is that late war items may have few to no markings. I personalty have never seen wood stocks marked wi...

Re: Newbie with a mg53 kit from apex

If you want cheep then buy a complete gun.... Personally I found in the 30+ years on building firearms in my garage is that building is more expensive. Building, for me is a hobby, hobbies cost money. I enjoy building and get great satisfaction in completing and tinkering on builds to get them to ru...

Re: What is the going rate on an mg42/34 reweld?

What seems to be the going rate on the WORK to have an mg42 and an mg34 rewelded these days?(Not the parts kit, semi auto parts or anything. Question is if someone had everything needed but paying someone to weld together and work out any possible bugs). Currently have an mg42 being rewelded, not c...

Re: Question on Semi 42

Nothing... I had an out of battery detonation on my first build using the BRP bolt, it was about round 20 or so. The result was a bent barrel door, broken main spring and the back of the bolt where the main spring was cracked. Figure out why it is hanging up. the bolt should slide freely. In my case...

Re: WTB MG42/M53 barrel stop

Thanks, USMC. I was considering that receiver section from RTG. I have a question into them (they haven't answered yet) about whether that section had the barrel yoke. You've now answered my question. Thank you! It had it, it was just crushed and cracked... They just don't consider it a serviceable...

Re: Need help with my new Gen 2 Wise Lite M53

The Wise Lite Gen 2 receiver is 1 inch longer..... Did you add the buffer extension???? This is required for proper function. I did not have luck using the 8mm buffer firing 308 ammo. The 308 ammo seemed to recoil harder damaging my bolt..
