Very nice!!! I am glad to hear that the 308 worked so well. I picked up four 308 MG42 barrels with a kit at the SAR show in Phoenix this last weekend. I think my computer just got a new background picture.

That would be neat to use to mount my Israeli Heavy Barrel Fal on the AA tripod.

I picked up four tins of the Romanian 8mm at the Phoenix gun show this past weekend for about 23 cents a round. Probably not a great price but I think not bad for ammo these days compared to 308. Thanks for the heads up on a new (to me) ammo source.

One of my kits is missing that spring too. Any ideas on a source for them?

I just ordered several of John's manuals for the '34 and '42. I have one '42 kit, one '53 kit and most of a '34 kit. I am looking forward to building these. It sounds like I should start on the '53 kit first.
