Re: YAWN!! back to work...

Well, I'm almost fully recovered from my second lumbar disc surgery this year and am getting back to work this week. There hasn't been much to say gun-wise on this board for me since I sold my MG-42 to Bob here, but I still have a couple cool guns left, like the MP-44, MP-40 and k98. Bil's been lay...

More like Double Trouble.

Speaking of which...Does anyone remember the board game "Trouble"? It featured the "Pop-o-matic" bubble.

FOR SALE MG42 8mm Blank Barrel

Hello, I have FOR SALE a blank firing barrel for the MG 42. It is the "two-piece" style and it includes 3 different plugs to tune the weapon for your blanks. Currently it is being used for the Atlantic Wall "Long" Red Tip 8mm blanks and it works great. Will include a single barre...

Re: VW type 82

The mounting hardware is pretty much universal, just change the adapter. The same example comes into play with motorcycles. You would see mostly MG34s and sometimes a Mg13/15. I have seen 1 photo out of thousands that had a MG42 mounted on a FJ Bmw R75 or Zundapp KS750. So was it done? quite possib...

VW type 82

Was the MG.42 ever mounted in the Kubelwagen? If anyone has pictures that would be great. I know the MG.34 was and there was even a rear-facing mount for those too.

Thanks!

Otto Carius is still alive. I keep meaning to look him up when I'm over there or send him a copy of the book to sign. I should hurry up and do that soon.

Re: Art work some WW2

He has some nice work however, his historical knowledge is a bit lacking.

For example:

"Waffen-SS Panzergrenadiers fire from the cover of an abandoned King Tiger near Jameppes, Belgium in October of 1950. A limited edition of 1000 prints with 50 artist proofs signed by the artist."
