Re: Is Angola Armory still open?

Hate to revive this old post but I just ran across my 'Happiness is a belt-fed weapon" Angola Armory bumper sticker and was wondering if A.A. was still in biz?

Re: burntcapital MG42 receivers - ATF say's no go!!!

I read the ATF guys comment that he could remove the block and make it full auto--well that's essentially most converted semi auto's isn't it ? Don't most ATF approved semi MG42s have a block in the receiver that could be taken out?

Re: MG42/M53 Blueing?

My M53 was solid black. The only shiney parts were the top cover/feed tray and the machined parts all the receiver was matt or dull finish. When I got mine welded together I got some of the black oxide solution as sold at Enco and MSC and rinsed it with hot water/degreased and put the black oxide in...

Re: full length main spring conversion

Here's a tutorial(more of an outline) that and advanced builder should be able to follow to get full length spring. This conversion still requires machine work and welding but much less than other conversions I've seen. Another thing I like about it is the buttstock and buffer/ spring housing comes o...

Re: full length main spring conversion

I did a Conversion that had MUCH less machine work than the missing pictures version I'll post a link to a pictoral tutorial when I can get unbusy. Making a "kit" sounds like a nightmare-as you probably know these MG42 parts don't all fit up just right and most parts are interchANGABLE with fitting ...

[quote="TOM R"]I think the problem is too many are waiting to buy new receivers. I personally think a weld-up is easier then relying on the fit and function of a new receiver, these old ones had the parts fit to them so you know the parts will fit just my .02. Your right about that Tom R. I don't th...

Good news for all you folks who have been patiently waiting for Armory Parts Exchange (APEX gun parts) to get the Wise Lite Arms products posted. I called the owner (who was slogging through the heavy Colorado snows on the drive back from Phoenix). He allowed me to post the WLA products under their...

I hope that doesn't mean destroyed barrels  From what I've read anything imported from the evil import list( isn't mg42 on it ?)with a barrel has to have the barrrel demilled isn't that why the Galil kits come with a new US barrel? if Sarco is telling the truth and they weren't demilled enou...

I agree. Considering there ain't that many around and it's a key peice and pretty hard to make well. I bet new made would be more than $200.

Accoring to shots build the semi bolt extension is 2.5" long, so that is how much the buffer tube needs to be extended--in Rocky's buffer tube extension it seems more like 3.175" was added to the spring travel length which is .675'" longer spring travel than is stock. Is this by design or ????

Thank you gentlemen.Yes I have a M53 bolt. The anti-bounce assy is pretty substantial in the spring dept so I didn't want to end up with something unsafe by leaving it out and not having a semi equivalent.
