I would like to beg, borrow, steal or rent a 7.62x54R chamber reamer to rechamber an extra BREN 303 barrel I have so I can shoot cheaper ammo in my Bren. PM me if you have one.

All kidding aside, Bil, some of those rear receiver sections I bought from you, are incorporated in both MG53s.

Since I was severely chastised for shouting here by some un-named persons, I have made a real effort to not shout on other sites also, but sometimes it just slips out. I have poor texting eddicate (and spelling ).

I uses an air brush and compressed air to spray the Duracoat on after sand blasting. I mixed just enough of it at a time to fill the paint cup. Unfortuneatly I could not heat cure it because of the length of the receiver so I will have to let it sit for 2 weeks before I put the gun to hard use. I us...

I finally got a duracot finish on the first of 2 MG53s I built. I think I will Parkerize the second one.

Yes, I ment 10-32UNF socket head cap screw. Sorry for the typo. I will post some pictures of them tonight.

I used 10-23 socket head cap screws threaded into the rails and will use round head rivets to replace them.

I finally got a chance to shoot both the MG53s I built. After a little lubercation and cycling issures they both shot and feed great. Now all that's left is to remove the temporary rail machine screws, rivet them in place sandblast and put on a finish. I think I will Park them. SUCCESS FINALLY BIL!,...

I got the AR-10 FCG from a guy on AR15.com. They are DPMS and he replaced them with a target FCG and didn't need them so I got them fairly cheap. About the same price a standard stock FCG for a AR15. The only thing I didn't get with them was the hammer and trigger pins.

I got the second gripstick modified and AR10 FCG installed this evening. The trigger is the same as an AR15 but the hammer and hammer spring seem to be a little bit heavier. This should help with more reliable ignition with hard primers.

Last night I got the bolt modified to Pirate's V2.0 method on the second gun. Hopefully I can get the second receiver welded together this weekend. It's all tacked together now. I need to make some buffer cam pieces and attach them to the rear. I don't have those 2 pieces yet.

After I test fire it then I will rivet the rails on, plug weld the ratchet plate on, sand blast it and Parkurize it. For now, there are screws holding the rails and ratchet plate on.
