Re: WaA Stamped belts

I have lots of belts that only have a three letter code and no other stamps. I have a couple that only have a small WaA mark with nothing else. The rest all have dates and codes. Anybody know if late war belts are completely unmarked? - matt

Re: fail to feed mg34

The spring for the lever in the bolt should be very stiff. It is hard to push on a few of my bolts, the ones that function well. The cartridge lever in the top cover is stiff but can be depressed with finger pressure. Something else to look at is the top edge of that lever on the bolt. If it is roun...

Re: fail to feed mg34

The little lever on the top of the bolt is probably worn out or its spring is weak. Also check the rear cartridgel lever in the feedblock and its spring. Any combination of those two being week or worn will allow the bolt to get under the cartridge. I had this problem in my TNW from day one and it d...

Re: Bluing issues

Nitre salts blue at a temperature around 600 or 700 if I remember it right. Normal bluing is around 300. To high a temp will make hardened steel turn plum or deep purple. - matt

They seem to be on ebay often. Keep watching. They are Israeli made. Germans used a sling to carry the gun.
