i ave a semi 42 with a cam roller stud feed stud on the bolt. I have een using an MG! top cover and feed tray. general question:use of 2 piece barel

im using one of the 2-piece setups from its not cycling as well as the milled-down one-piece barrel I have been previously employing.
am I using this thing right? does one use a booster/restricted booster when using the 2-piece setup?

Re: General blank adapting question

just figured id reply with the solution I discovered to my problem.
the mg 13's recoil spring doubles as its holder for the top cover. it turns out that my spring was in need of replacement.
did so and all is well

Re: repacking yugo belt loader...HELP

Got it
Thanx for the help! I also figured out that it fits with NO squezing if you pack it like the above but also open the belt retaining clip/door and store it that way so it doesnt contact the handle recessed part of the ammo box

repacking yugo belt loader...HELP

Ok...I give up! I just got a post war yugo belt loader and despite remembering the positions of all the components and taking a picture before unpacking it, I cant squeeze everything back in the ammo can. if I move the gearbox (main piece) forward enough to clear a lip on the hopper, it obstructs a ...

General blank adapting question

Ok, Ive noticed something after this last reenactment. I have a semi MG-13, but im not sure if that's relevant I have a 2-piece barrel in .308 that HAD been running perfectly with the same blanks (same lot#). I was tuning it before the event and I realized that the colder it is, the less the blanks ...

mg13 firing pin removal

I was putting in a "training firing pin" into a spare bolt so I could have the gun at living history events without damaging the live pin. But, I cant figure out how to remove the pin. the set screw at the base just keeps turning but doesn't back out. depressing the pin slightly and applying gentle ...

mg3 top cover on mg1 feed tray

I was considering swapping out my mg1 top cover for an MG3 topcover...I know they're both .308 but the MG3 has the nifty hold open device and feed lever spring. (I have a reliable bolt hold open device) My problem is this: because I use the gun almost exclusively for reenacting, I can't use the MG3 ...

Re: blank adapting the mg42/m53/mg1-3

Hi, I would like to ask you guys for an opinion. I have a M53 with two-parts barrel and I need to fire those grey plastic blanks. I am struggling with it for three years. Now I have a new barrel, with smooth chamber front so it is not chopping ammo on entrance. But still it does not fire, or very s...

question/idea about semiauto bolt

I am posting this here because even though my motivation is to use my gun for blanks, this modification should make the gun work smoother overall. :eureka: In my continuing quest to make my SA 42 work smoother. Because I am primarily a reenactor, I have encountered pretty much EVERY problem getting ...
